A prepared neighborhood is a safe neighborhood, so please invite your neighbors!
GPNA, in coordination with the Ready Gerstle Park crew, is excited to offer a ‘Virtual Evacuation Drill’ to help with emergency and potential evacuation preparedness for you, your family and neighbors.
When: Saturday, October 4th, 2025 – 9:00-10:00 AM
What: “Virtual” Evacuation Drill via Zoom
RSVP: LINK COMING SOON!
We have done this in the past with smaller groups through Ready Gerstle Park and we all came away from the drill with a better understanding of what we need to do to be prepared as well as to leave our homes during an emergency.
The process is EASY!
- Before Saturday, 10/4, print out these example check lists of to-dos in an evacuation.
- At 9:00 AM on Saturday, 10/4, log into Zoom.
- At 9:15, we’ll give you the signal to take 15 minutes to put hands on each item you would take with you in a real evacuation, as well as going through each of the ‘To Do’s’ needed to prepare and leave your home.
- At 9:30, we will reconvene on Zoom and debrief the exercise.
OPTIONAL: Before the drill, print this guide and make your plan and a “go bag”. You should plan on taking 1-2 hours over the course of a few days for this preparation.
