Neighborhood Virtual Evacuation Drill

A prepared neighborhood is a safe neighborhood, so please invite your neighbors!

GPNA, in coordination with the READYgerstlepark crew, is excited to offer a ‘Virtual Evacuation Drill’ to help with emergency and potential evacuation preparedness for you, your family and neighbors.  This exercise will help prepare you for an evacuation due to wildfire, floods or earthquake.

When: Saturday, October 4th, 2025 – 9:00-10:00 AM

We have done this in the past with smaller groups through READYgerstlepark and we all came away from the drill with a better understanding of what we need to do to be prepared as well as to leave our homes during an emergency.

The process is EASY!

• Before Saturday, 10/4, spend some time preparing for the evac drill.  If you can, take a few hours to:
  • Sign up for Alert Marin.
  • Prepare Your Go Bag.
• On Saturday, 10/04:
  • At 9:00AM (sharp!) log into Zoom. 
  • At 9:15, we’ll give you the signal to take 15 minutes to put hands on each item you would take with you in a real evacuation, as well as going through each of the ‘To Do’s’ needed to prepare and leave your home.
  • At 9:30, we will reconvene on Zoom and debrief the exercise.
